Downtown Eau Claire’s Jump Start Business Competition

Have any of you heard about downtown Eau Claire’s jump start competition? We’ve been sponsoring the competition for some time now! The business competition strives to bring new businesses into the downtown area to help with economic redevelopment. Downtown Eau Claire has been going through lots of changes recently, so it’s exciting to see new businesses venturing downtown. Our office is downtown so we’re able to check out the new businesses very easily just a walk away! Last week we headed over to the event to announce the jump start business competition winners!

This year it was a difficult decision for the judges to make. There were a lot of deserving businesses with very well thought out business plans. It’s very exciting to see all the talent downtown Eau Claire has to offer.

The winning businesses were as follows. The innovative idea went to N7 Cafe, a cold press coffee company that will be traveling throughout downtown Eau Claire. The runner up was Haha Fresh Market, a fresh and local downtown grocery store. And the winner was….Ramone’s Ice Cream Parlor.

We’re especially excited for Ramone’s 1920s style ice cream parlor to open, it’s just a hop, skip, and a jump from our Eau Claire office. So you better believe we’ll be stopping there on lunch breaks and after work for a sweet treat! It’s always rewarding to see innovative businesses thrive in the community. We can’t wait to try out the new businesses downtown from the business competitions!
